Each element of the print was hand painted by Sophie in our studio before being transferred directly onto screens and then hand printed into an edition of 50. As a result ‘The Manifesto of Naina’ is a truly original piece of printmaking.
Sophie (b.1991, Glasgow) is a painter currently based in South London. After studying at Camberwell College of Arts, Sophie has developed a visual practice of autobiographical half-truths and feline existentialism.
Self-portraits loaded with ambiguous narratives are punctuated by feral manifestations of our feline companions.
Sophie is championed by Guts Gallery (London) and international exhibitions have included NBB Gallery (Berlin), Sothebys (NY) and Breach Gallery (Miami)
