We are thrilled to introduce our second collaboration with the brilliant Ben Crase.
‘Ladybug’ is based on one of Ben’s distinctive depictions of the Old West. Delving heavily into his upbringing in Butte, MT, a mining boomtown known as the ‘Richest Hill on Earth’, we are presented with three anonymous inhabitants that settled in these towns.
Garbed in Ben’s increasingly iconic oversized pink hats, the three subjects find themselves sharing a drink in the company of a blood soaked cheetah. A symbolic apparition of the riches and risks navigated daily by early prospectors or an ostentatious display of wealth, fuelled by an unbridled ego on a path of self destruction.
